Kindle Update

The new update for the Kindle that was automatically downloaded and installed if your wireless is on improves the battery life.  This to what I think was already a great battery life.  I normally read between 30 minutes to an hour at least five days a week (in the mornings when everyone else is asleep).  I normally charge the Kindle every 10 to 15 days and I leave the wireless turned on.  I am curious how much this update can improve the battery – does it put the wireless to sleep automatically?
